Carriage Restoration for Forbes House Museum

Project Details

The Forbes House Museum, located in Milton, MA, has an impressive mid-19th-century carriage house. They hired us to restore it. This work included extensive post and beam structural repairs, installing a wood cedar shingle roof, and the complete restoration of the siding, exterior trim, windows, and doors.

Because the project was partially funded by the Massachusetts Historical Commission, all work had to follow strict historic preservation guidelines. Our team of craftsmen successfully carried out the project to the complete satisfaction of everyone involved.
