Barn Renovation & Conversion

Project Details

Client Goals: Our clients owned a barn that previous owners had neglected for years. It was literally falling down. They asked if it could be renovated and converted into a recreational building for their family, with the garage below.

Challenges:

• The rear of the building had collapsed and the stone foundation holding back the hillside had fallen in.
• Almost all of the exterior trim and siding was in need of replacement

We built a new concrete foundation at the rear of the barn formed against the hillside above. The entire rear third of the structure was removed and rebuilt. The exterior was restored to its original appearance with new doors and windows, and all new siding and trim. The inside was insulated and heated to allow for year-round use. The main feature is an Endless Pool that graces the main floor.
