Landmark Services, Inc. is a general contractor dedicated to furnishing historic preservation and the appropriate renovation, rehabilitation or restoration of historic buildings and homes in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We have worked with homeowners, architects, and historic societies throughout the area since 1991.
We combine a long standing commitment to the distinctive architecture of the region with a full array of professional construction services. By equipping these important structures to continue to meet modern expectations for shelter and service, we assure their continued usefulness to another generation. In order to furnish the most comprehensive solutions, we have long dedicated our company to the development of the skills necessary to reproduce period craftsmanship in a full range of historic materials, masonry, plaster, timber framing and decorative finishes, as well woodwork and millwork. Our projects have included additions and complete house renovations of historic homes of all styles and ages, as well as historic barn and public building restoration. We know the historic techniques and materials used to build these homes and buildings and know how to repair, restore, and extend the usefulness of their original masonry, plaster, timber framing, and decorative finishes.
Mark Landry, President of Landmark Services
Mark has been restoring and renovating old houses for more 25 years. He is an experienced craftsperson and designer, and since founding Landmark Services in 1991, has managed historic renovation and restoration projects of all sizes and budgets. Mark holds an M.A. in Historic Preservation from Boston University, and spent two years at the Boston Architectural Center studying design, building technology, and architectural history. During his studies, he was an intern at both the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities and in Great Britain.
Brian Roberts, Managing Partner
Brian has been working in high-end residential construction for over 12 years, and working with Landmark in various capacities for most of that time. His background combines hands-on experience renovating old buildings with many successful years leading Operations, Finance and general Business Strategy initiatives for well regarded organizations throughout the Commonwealth. He has been an integral part of improving our business systems, project delivery process, accounting and client support and continues to drive our efforts to offer our clients a best-in-class experience from their first interaction with Landmark and continuing for many years after the project is completed. Brian has his BA from Trinity College, and is a member of BAGB, NARI, USGBC and is a licensed Construction Supervisor in the state of Massachusetts.
In the Field
Our carpentry & field crews are led by one of our experienced old house Supervisors: Rob Way, Rob Lunter, Chris Titus, Jamie Morley, David Pillarella and Mattew Sumner all bring tremendous enthusiasm and skill to their work. Our team leaders are assisted by a team of carpenters, masons, and helpers. From structural repairs to window restoration, from framing to finish carpentry, these guys do it all.
