# 18th Century Kitchen Renovation

 Reading, MA

## Project Details

Every once in a while, we get a chance to work on a really old house, such as this early 18th century home. And it’s truly a pleasure. The main focus here was in renovating the kitchen. The owners – both historic house lovers – wanted a kitchen that was functional, but one that resonated with its 18th-century origins.

We enjoyed the challenge of designing and building the kitchen. We mixed and matched several cabinet details and opted to use soapstone for the sink and counters. A glazed finish lends a gentle patina to the cabinets, further enhancing the period look. We also added two small additions to the home.

## Let’s work together.
