Update: Landmark Services won a 2009 Contractor of the Year Award for this project from NARI, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.
We converted some useless attic space into a beautiful master bedroom suite on this 1920s house in a historic district in Weston, MA. To get the required headroom, we tore off the roof of the side ell and rebuilt it several feet higher. Because the house is in the historic district, we were careful to keep the exterior appearance as close to the original as possible.
Inside we created a Master Suite that features a dressing room carved out of the hallway between bedroom and master bath. Our crew built some functional and attractive closet built-ins. Downstairs we enlarged a family room and added a mudroom.
